![]() ![]() ![]() These are dogs who have become at risk for euthanasia on the date they are timestamped due a medical or behavioral condition that is beyond ACCT’s capacity for care, physical or mental deterioration due to length of stay in the kennel environment, a lack of space to house the animals, or a combination of any of the above. This section lists the current, at risk, timestamped dogs. Your adopted dog will be microchipped, provided flea preventative and dewormed, given age appropriate vaccines, and spayed or neutered – normally these services would cost a dog owner in Philadelphia more than $500! Additionally, ACCT Philly will always take a pet back into our care if you are no longer able to keep them. Please note a $16 license fee applies if living in Philadelphia Adopters must bring a leash and collar.We strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs and children to meet any potential new dog family members and some dogs may require having a dog meet.Questions? Miles lets his foster mom know when he needs out or if dinner is a minute late! Miles is a joy to his foster family. Things that make my humans happy: Miles is a very happy, calm, easy-going dog and is usually content to sit by his foster mom's side. Training Status/Commands I know: He is a very good boy walking on a leash, but may pull when he sees other dogs. Sometimes Miles just needs a few minutes to get settled and acclimated until the nervous energy burns off!Įnergy Level: He loves to play and take walks, but most of the time he's chilling in his bed next to his foster mom or brother.īefore FAR/My History: Miles was found as a stray and ended up at the Clayton County shelter on the urgent list, at which time Furever After Rescue saved him. With a calm experienced introduction to other dogs, Miles should be successful. Sometimes his excitement overwhelms other dogs. A previous foster home had other large dogs and Miles did great with them as well. Sometimes he barks and pulls in excitement because he loves meeting someone new! Miles does well around other dogs at adoption events. When we take walks on a leash in our neighborhood, Miles wants to meet everyone. Miles loves them all, though supervision with young children is always recommended. Current foster home includes two teenagers and two three-year-old grandchildren that visit often.
